Good morning folks

We have a turkey hen who had gone broody this summer.........
seriously broody.....and rather clumsy........she had managed to
crush her first clutch of eggs just before hatching.....one a day.
We gave her more eggs since she still was broody and yesterday
she took her six new poults on a walk and paraded them about
the yard. She is one happy mom.

hope everyone has a good day

Granville County here!

Good morning CSB, congrats Tia RC--post pics!

Congrats Moss Farm. This year is bittersweet for me, with our youngest graduating college last May, it was the first year in 20 years we didn't have a first day of school, or school shopping to do.

Hope everyone has a fantastic day!

What'd ya get?  From where?

Ordered from Meyer and got the leanns adopt me bargain. So its a random assortment. I see I got some of chicks and bantams. As for kinds I'm clue less. No easter eggers that I can see and not silkies. But I got some lf and bantam chicks with feathered legs. The gray chick has me baffled. Its clean legged bantam. You see any you recognize?

If anyone is interested I have a couple of extra roosters that I should let go. I would like to get $5 a piece, but am very flexible. I don't have enough hens for all the roos. . .

I have two beautiful, very fluffy, black silkies, and only need one. They are from east coast silkies and catdance lines. Born mid to late April.

I have one black bantam Ameracauna. I ordered day olds from Jerry Segler, and I have three that have made it to juvenile status. (12 weeks old), and I ended up with 2 roos, and I am still hoping that I have one hen.

And a few weeks ago, I purchased a pair of gold laced bantam cochins, the hen didn't make it, and the rooster is getting beat up by my other cochins. . .he is supposed to be around 10 weeks old.

If anyone would like a picture of any of the above, let me know.

Janelle
