Any polish experts out there? My bird has not developed horns but I shave not seen it crow or sit. The other polish roo does not seem interested in it and it does not seen in to any of my hens. It is 6 months old. Can anyone tell if it's a roo or a hen?
horns?
If you mean spur buds then yes. My female GL polish has them, pretty large too. She is a little over a year and started developing them early. My newest SL does not. I did a bit of research and found that some females can develop buds. Have no clue if they will ever get any bigger, hope not for her sake. I don't plan on doing anything to them as she is relatively calm and they do not bother her.
Have no idea on the sex yours but it is lovely!

So here's the girls. Day 2. One cochin (Hillary) is missing from the photo. The other cochin (Angie) seen here in the photo. Susie is the hybrid bottom right and the two buffs are Goldie and (name:TBD), Marilyn is a buff too, and a slightly younger pullet that is hand downs the smartest of the bunch - weird. The cochin birds are just bullies and like to perch high and punish the others. The hybrid is not too quick - unless its running. This is them in the morning...

I'd love to see the photo that goes with that description!

Good morning, everyone!
I'm not seeing any pictures either.....

Since it's bearded, you can't go on wattles. Polish are suppose to have a small V shaped comb, so you might not see the "horns" too well. At 6 months old, if a he, he should have saddle feathers coming in. Could you get a few picture of it's back near the tail?

Yes, some hens can get full out spurs. I have had a few hens with more than nubs, even a silver laced polish hen. It doesn't seem to bother them any more than a rooster with spurs. But like a rooster who grows long spurs, you might have to keep an eye on some to make sure that the spurs don't impede their walking or grow back into their legs. Which I have had both happen with roosters.
