Another brown recluse. I think I'm going to move again. I can deal with bugs. But not spiders and centipedes by the dozens. This isn't healthy. It's causing me to lose sleep at night! :(

You have my sympathy completely. Spiders make me pee a lil, cry a lot and want to live in a plastic bubble..I was working outside yesterday and I have a huge dog runner cable stretched near where I was working. I was walking backwards, felt a web brush my cheek.. (pee'd a lil on the spot..lol).. turned around and came face to face..I'm talking it could have spit in my face..with one of those big yellow sob's that will bounce their webs..ya know the ones.. I took off like a chihuahua with a rottweiler on its tail, straight in the shower. .that cable is coming down today..don't care how.

One of my kids dropped and left a braided belt in the yard and it scared the mess out of me early this morning on my walk to feed horses. AGH! Thankfully it's the only 'snake' I've seen this year. I've found skins, though so...

So chicken math dictates that if you get rid of two chickens you obtain four in their place, right? I gave two of my hens to a friend who recently lost 15! of hers to a raccoon. Sunday night, I picked up four chicks to put under a broody hen :) I can hardly stand it, they are so adorable. I've added two polish, a legbar, and an English orp to my flock :)

Ugh! I get it! I can look at a spider outside and appreciate it's contribution to nature, walk into a web unexpectedly suddenly I am a kung fu master lol! You ain't ever seen a fat lady move so fast

I can deal with spiders (unless I accidentally walk through a web! Yuck!) and even snakes but I'm completely phobic of centipedes. There's just something about them that just sends me into a panic. Thankfully, I don't see to many here... But I once lived in a rundown apartment building that was filled with them. It was awful!

I haven't seen any snakes yet this year thankfully.. But we are having a major raccoon problem again. They can't get into my main coop or breeding pens, but they got into my barn last night and slaughtered all of my young cockerels that I was growing out. Prior to this, we had gone nearly 1.5 year since our last predator attack here. It's been a bad day...

My daughter does that with her horses black lead..looks just like a black snake..they also have a very realistic plastic spider that gets put in some very creative realistic places from on a bale of hay, hanging from a saddle, up in the folded towels. .and they laugh and laugh when I finally find it..

Ah..Polish...jealous and I've not even seen a pic yet..

Something got one of my bantams!!!! I was outside grilling and came in for tongs to flip the meat over and stir the beans and I heard her scream and I went outside and it had flipped over her pen and there's feathers everywhere! I went in the woods walking and calling her and I just kept finding feathers until the trail ended. :( her sister was in the same pen as her! And saw it all! Now she's walking in circles cackling like she's calling her. Omg! My heart is broken!!!!
