I'd limit 6-8 if being kept inside all day. It would be okay to take the plastic off and keep a side open for good ventilation, provided they are protected from rain/wind

Hey y'all!
Hope everyone is doing well and getting ready for Christmas. The warm weather has been crazy! It doesn't even feel like December. I know my girls aren't complaining, but I was hoping for a white Christmas.
Can y'all give me some advice on whether or not my coop is appropraite for colder weather? It is open on the sides with chicken wire and the two "windows" in front have wire. Do I need to put any plastic over the wire or keep it open for ventilation. I have 6 large breed adult hens. I'm gonna post a pic of my coop below.
Thanks!
Ben
Whatever you decide, you'll want hardware cloth instead of chicken wire. Everything can get through chicken wire.Hey y'all! Hope everyone is doing well and getting ready for Christmas.
