Wow! Someone from Marshall? Me too! Hello neighbor!
I would be interested in buying some D’uccle eggs to hatch from you in a few weeks! I’ve always wanted some D’uccles! I have Easter Egger, Olive Eggers, Black Copper Marans and Ameraucana eggs in my incubator at the moment (should start hatching on 5/10)!
howdy...i've never hatched any eggs, maybe i could give you some and see if they work...just started raising chickens this past May - got some from Silver Mill Feed, then expanded from there with Silkies (well i only have a splash silkie rooster left - the others had Mareks I suspect from people in Burnsville I had 4 babies from them all 4 died the same way, paralysis then death in a few days or so), i had 3 Ayam Ceymani (1 baby died, then others grew to be roosters i gave one away and then the other died also ugh). Got the D'uccles from a lady on Walnut creek rd. d'uccles are great to have - so sweet and precious. the larger chickens i have do bully them but not too much..they stay in same coop fine - i hear some tussling around when the auto door closes lol . i live on riddle farm rd

Hatching is a lot of fun...and addicting! If you are interested in having more D’uccles, I’d be happy to hatch you some if you allow me to keep some! I have a second incubator I could start them in! Did the lady you got yours from have any other colors?

I had a few chickens that had paralysis so I suspect it was Merricks (I didn’t have them tested to confirm) they came from a farm in TN. It’s a horrible disease.

We live off of Rectors Corner.

no others i got all she had...one of mine got taken by a hawk a week after i got them. I dont have pics really yet.. and no smart phone... but 2 hens are more white, then 1 hen the typical D;uccle color mille fleur and the rooster is amazing - his feet feathers are long - so now he has a sprained foot from having them.

sounds good lets talk in about a week or so ...hopefully people can move around !

We're in Wake County, how about you?
I'm in Davie! Love it out in the country!!

Hello fellow Carolinian!

I'm in Horry County, SC (right on the border with NC!)
I've got Mandarin Duck eggs in the incubator, and I'm not confident at all.
Anyone in NC that has Mandarins?
I need some advice (not just on incubating, but I'm building the aviary, etc.)

Fingers crossed!
