It's been a while since I've been on BYC so thought I'd say Hi again. I Googled about Wood Ducks earlier after my cat 'met' one in the yard and remembered the site.
I'll be keeping an eye out for any interesting chicken overhatches which others want to move along and keeping my fingers crossed for my spring hatch.

There is fire near NC/SC boarder. Are you affected? Hope it's ok.

The ones in NC were down the mountain from me, we did get some smoke, poor air, but they were far enough away they were not cause for concern (immediate concern). They got those contained and we had a LOT of rain in the last 24hrs, so I think the ones in NC are out.

SC. They have several fires, I think 5 that were in counties boarding NC, plus they had a few more toward the beaches like Myrtle. What a crazy thing.
Last I saw, the rains have helped and either the SC fires are out or "contained". I would think if they had as much rain as we did, the fires should be out!

I was glad to see the rain, we need it. The only problem lately is we get a good rain and then it's windy for several days afterward, it dries right back out.
It was muddy this morning and by this afternoon the ground was already somewhat dry.

It's raining a bit right now, but it's windy and looks like we'll have wind the next couple of days so there's that.
