Total # on this stinky hatch is 49/78. Pulled 15 eggs day 10 and never recandle at LD, so had some in that should not have been.

Went to the auction today and sold 26 chicks. Didn't even put a dent in what I have.

Cleaned out the hatcher and putting 17 into lockdown tonight

Greeneacres... the blue cochins are from shipped eggs, I have not incubated any of the eggs from the cochin I got from you yet.

We got a lot of work done today on the coop!

We also got a piece of plywood flooring down on this thing (8X4) and framed out the roof to help support the posts. Now to go about this thing 1 side at a time. But which to start with? The nesting box side? The picture window side? Or the double doors side? Anyway, progress is progress, especially when someone is trying to hammer in the screws!

BHep - I am sorry you didn't have a great turnout on your hatch. At least you are getting to be an auction expert!!

If SCM doesn't take all your Cochins I think they would fit in perfectly with my Orps - and gives the DH an excuse to build another coop!!

although I suppose I should wait until we are finished with this one!!

Sheps & Coop & Everyone else - HAPPY EASTER, I hope you all had a wonderfully blessed day!!

We spent Sunday at church for our Easter Cantata...I am happy to report I managed to hit my high B, hold it for 12 counts and NOT pass out!!

I was desperately fearful of that, especially since it was being broadcast LIVE on the internet. Our DD was also dedicated last night, so it was a special day all around for us!! She was the "belle of the ball" in her little doll outfit. I made her dress & bonnet and everyone kept telling me she looked like a doll from the 1800's!!

That made my heart swell - to think she looked that precious - I'm bias, so I already think she's just the cutest thing in the whole world!! My mother is flying in tomorrow to visit and she is EXCITED (or should I say egg-cited??) to meet the flock!! I think she is going to want to take Jeremy or Jemima home with her...I say NEVER!! I will post pictures of the gang as soon as they load up! Have a great day everyone!! I'll be away for a bit this week as I was just hired to bake a HUGE cake and it needs to be done by Wed!!

The gang getting use to their new home!! MIA is Jemima who was taking advantage of everyone at my feet and decided to roost and sing at us all!!

Finally the LO are warming up to me and will eat out of my hands...although I will say, Cotton-Tail (blk rooster) is definitely going for the "I'm so hungry I could die" ribbon...he climbs atop everyone to get at my hand whenever I put it down in there, regardless of whether or not I have something...he keeps trying to "eat" my hand!!

My computer is being SOOOOOO slow today. I will have to try and post the other photo later, sorry!!

so as soon as I submit this, the loader finishes...figures. Anyway, here is the other photo...Notice how it's mostly the rooster's eating out of my hand...hmmm.
