Haha...seems as if both of us are located in the middle of nowhere. Haha. I'm not sure where Cumberland County is in relation to Johnston County so I must admit I am at a bit of a loss. I vote for a party at BHep's where we can scoop out her stock and she had informed me that her kids might keep my DD so I could be a win-win all over (DD is STILL teething)!!

Besides....then I could take Bob home with me...no one would EVER know, I'm sure.

I'm sure we can figure something out...if not, the paper can go to the recycling center and I can hit up our center to see if they'll let me take - scratch that...our center no longer recycles newspaper.

Good morning Everyone!! I am surprised at how BIG my orps are getting!!
fl.gif
any day now they could start to lay, right?? They are ~18 weeks old!! Okay, I guess I am just impatient... hehe or excited!! This is going to be a busy few weeks for us here. We are finishing a few of our building projects while I work on getting things ready for our DD's FIRST birthday
hit.gif
I'm so not ready for this milestone. If I seem extra soppy in the coming weeks, I apologize for it now!! You all can try to
smack.gif
it out of me.
lau.gif
I am working on sewing a few pillowcase dresses from my leftover fabrics and fat quarters...these are great dresses for her to play outside in...keeps the sharp/dry grass from pricking/cutting her!!
tongue.gif
Evil grass. OOhh...
fl.gif
keeping my fingers crossed...my cucumbers, squashes, zucchini are all flowering....
fl.gif
hoping they actually produce so I have SOMETHING aside from peas from my garden (or should I call it my grassy knoll??). Off to get some sewing done before DD wakes up. Have a great day everyone.

Ok.....nearest large city to me is Fayetteville which along I95 if you look on a map. It looks like Faison is just about sttraight east of me so Beth is probably as far away from as you would be. You pick and I will travel......I love to travel and sightsee

My Wellie boys have found a happy home at Winterpast Farm in Wake Forest! As long as they behave themselves and continue to be good with children they won't get sent to freezer camp!!!
wee.gif
The place looks awesome! Here's their facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Winterpast-Farm/104237476305946 They have lots of events and are open as a petting zoo with big pot bellied pigs and goats and all kinds of good stuff! How awesome is that!?!?

So happy to hear that. I have seen their website. I have been itching to bring my kids there for some MORE animal loving. Sounds like fun. Maybe this summer.

If you go over to preditor and pests you can find ways other have had to deal wtih this problem. But I will warn you that most folks over on that thread are hopping mad and can get blood thirsty when they lose a chicken. you can find gentler ways folks have dealt with neighbors dogs. I had a neighbor from He** for years and finally had all commications through law inforcement, talking nicely didn't work with them as none of the people or animals could do no harm.

At least the neighbor should re imburse them for the replacement hens and keep thier dogs up!

wonderful pictures every one. I really, really need to remember to get batteries for my camera.

Carolyn

Oops! Someone asked about that and I read the post but had to leave; was going to come back to it when I got home and forgot...
They took pictures, found a price quote to replace the same aged chickens (adults), and presented the amount to the neighbor (don't expect him to comply); notified him the next time they see the dog's nose in their yard, the shot gun will come out.

If memory serves me correctly, they called Law Enforcement...this time I don't think so...

BHep, I am so sorry to hear about your angora
