It has been a busy week at work and next week is looking worse. I have the pleasure of being based in the new building with an additional work spce at the oppostie end of the old building. Yesterday I left my keys at the new building and called over to have them "tube" like the banks them over to me. Well the only person there hasn't used the system much and Off the top of my head thought the station I needed was 113. I learned a valuable lesson. DO NOT trust your memory when you get to my age. Turned out after three trips back to the new building the station was in the old pharmacy AKA Fort Knox and supposedly all Large Animal People could get in, they currently store all the extra polo shirts for the employees there.
Well the first 3 I tracked down tried to get in the wrong door and then I found a supervisor got the right door with a keypad and she thought she remembered the code, who had to call on the radio another person to text it to her and he got the order wrong and finally had to come down and just punch numbers until it opened. Got my keys back and it turned out that they sent me my car keys and not the ring of work keys so I still couldn't get in my the door and had to go back again. took an hour and a half
next time I will just walk the 1/2 mile and warn the everyone I see not to send anything to 113.
Will be saying bye to 2 splash BRLW's this weekend and trying to get the lady who paid for them already to pick up her little flock of seven. Need to make room for the new chicks from the brooders to go out. Unlike BHEP who is "slowing down"
I fully admit that I am keeping the bator full and hatching 6 to 8 a week as I only have my homemade one to work with.
The frizzle cochin pens are starting to lay and now all I need is for the Frizzle roo I like the best to grow up enough to put with the smooth hens. Of my 2 frizzle pullets the second has started laying and the first to lay is currently raising the chicks she hatched. Teied to get a picture of them but she tell them to run and hide when I come with the camera that I just got batteries for out.
