Hi All ~

I am new to chickens and a replant (7 yrs ago) to North Carolina. I am in Forsyth Co. It's me, my son, grandaughter, 3 dogs, 1 kitty, 1 bunny, some fish 6 Leghorns (I think) and 2 game hens (again, I think). There seems to be an invisable sign out front that says " All Strays Welcome Here".

darn they put that sign up in your yard too (though lately been getting things ive always loved so only partly my fault)?!?!?! if you have a child or a pet, they seem to attract others of both kinds in mass if you dont start shooing them away. lol (im serious though, you know how many children i had coming through and hanging at my place? youd think i was Micheal Jackson, except the well.. you know).

Thanks for the welcomes! I am now looking to farm mealworms, as the girls LOVE them and it's so much fun watching them munch : )

Todays count:

24 Squash

10 Cucumber

1 Silkie egg - from a black hen we hatched

5 brown eggs - 1 found in the Buff's Firetower nesting boxes.

So, hopefully we will get more eggs from the Buffs soon..............
