I am curious about how old 'miss' Blue is? Miss looks awfully MR.

Matt

I thought so too for a long time and maybe it is? It's about, I dunno....5 - 6 months old, may even be 7. No spurs, it doesn't crow (my younger roos all attempt to crow), it clucks and hen chatters. I dunno, I didn't really hatch these and all but 3 of them are mixed with who KNOWS what, is it possible it just has red around the ears because of being a possible mix? It flogs (not me, but the other chickens and has since a chick) but the roosters mate with it regularly, it's their favorite one! Then again, they also dance and shuffle for my MALE polish cross (who is very confused by it). <.< Who knows....I don't much care, but it's name is "Missy" because that is what everyone insisted to call it. >D

So, roo or hen? I'd certainly like to know! It's in with a mix of crosses and what not (there's even a little game hen in there), so I don't really care either way. I just keep these as pets and for eggs when they feel like laying any.

Just like my new peachick's name is "Lumba" and I didn't even get a say in it! 50 Nerd points if you get the reference though!

Hi Terry, I'm in Linwood, not far from Lexington or Salisbury. Right on the Davidson/Rowan county lines. Would love to know what everyone has breed-wise in their flocks.

Ha! Sometimes the Internet rocks. I *knew* I should have gotten that name. It's been awhile since I saw that episode. Our local station stopped rerunning the series when my 13 y.o. was a toddler. With the exception of "theme weeks", they ran the series in order from pilot episode to current season, Monday to Friday at 7PM. It was so nice to catch up without having to tape everything. Now we have past seasons on DVD.

One reason I like "Supernatural" is I get all of Dean and Sam's cultural references. "Space herpes" indeed!

Gee, no clue how to drag this back to chickens except... Those are treasure troves of names for future chickens

ROFL <3 for Gold.
It's amazing all of our pets aren't named after ST or SW in this house.

I can drag it back to chickens!

Future name:
Naked Neck = Picard

Bwahahahaha.... Yeah, time for me to go get some work done and be productive before I actually start considering all of the possibilities of breeds/names. Have a great day everyone.
