So, I candled my lockdown eggs tonight and am sorry to say nothing

But on the good news, on checking my broodies this evening I find a little grey bundle of silkie fluff. She is from Henry (our Morganton roo - gene unknown) and one of the silkie chicks we hatched out from Sandy and so has the splash gene in her somewhere. So, now we will wait and see....

Seems my boy William is gonna be fine! Chickens are like tapeworms, the speed at which he healed is amazing. On top of that his girl Kate has laid two eggs since the coon! I have Bator fever!!!!! Hope y'all had a great day!

Putting some more in the bator later this week myself, trying to hatch some of my blue and splash bantam orps, so far nothing but they are very young pullets.

UNBELIEVABLE

Over 100 eggs were in my incubator WITHOUT power from Sat. @ 7:30 am until Sun. @ 10:00 am then off again until Sun. @ 7:00 pm. 21 hours without power. And yes.... the ones I had marked as developing are still alive.....doing the tiny chick dance in their eggs.
