Great pictures everyone! I love the fluffiness.

The whole goal tonight was to swing by the grocery store on the way home since we poor state employees get paid the last day of the month and pick up apple recipe goodies and stuff for Amish bread mix. Unfortunately, due to some SNAFU we haven't been paid yet!!!!! I want hot apples with sugar!!! Poo!! And how am I supposed to buy anything at the chicken swap tomorrow if I have NO MONEY???

Why did I want to be a teacher again???

My broody JB (Japanese Bantam) was all squashed down like a pancake on her four eggs this morning when I checked on her. So far she's managed to keep the blue cochin bantam from stealing her eggs because she's the BOSS.

Any chicks will be PQ only as both parents have long legs - if I understand the genetics correctly. But the birds themselves are gorgeous.

HT - I was thinking for your pic caption "{sigh} Just get on with it already!"

G&A - if you keep showing those cute partridge silkies I'm going to end up divorced because I don't think DH is going to build me another coop!!

Since we are sharing and my crew is "all grown" I thought I'd share a few photos taken this morning.

NH - your birds are so pretty! I see why you're in love!! I have an escapee, and why is it I like her the most eventhough she drives me nuts?? I wish I could free range mine too, or at least give them some "outside the pen" time.

Woohoo!! NPIP certification today, went very well. Super nice guy. Hunter also was great with getting all the birds for him, as I sat in a chair and watched with my leg propped up. Now to spend the rest of the day resting....and i have so much to do.

I have a couple of young groups getting close to POL.

My bantam marans have been squawking the past couple of days, my olive eggers are the same age and in with them so they are all turning red too. My EE's are starting to get a bit more color and the cockerel has just discovered "manhood".

My young mottle bantam cochin pullet gave me her first egg yesterday and it's already in the bator.

She's in with my lav cochin roo.

My bantam lav Ameraucana's shouldn't be too much longer, maybe another month or so. Going to be an awesome winter!!

Beautiful everyone!!!!!!!!!!!! This addiction thing is no joke. I'm sitting here stewing about how I NEEEEEED just a couple more!!! Who's got a silkie for me!!!???!!!

But things are lookin up! Can't wait for the weekend!

Oh yes, and big personal news - we sold our real estate company and will be clearing out our office in downtown Cary this weekend. We'll have bunches of stuff for sale - desks, desk chairs, file cabinets, maybe a lap top and lots of other stuff. If you're looking for anything let me know - there's a good chance we've got it!
