Hmmmmm....that would actually make a good place to meet up with BYCers one day for a gather! Right on the interstate, too! Why haven't I thought of it before?

Welcome. I'm in the same area.Yeah I'm right of of 87. I'm about five min from chasons if I drive fast. Lol
I might be interested (depending on where you are...hehe) Right now my soy-free organic feed is costing us an arm, a let and a partial torso!!I wonder how much they charge for shipping since they are in Ohio (pooey...I use to live in OH!!) and whether or not they offer organic/soy-free together...I couldn't find that (then again, I was having "help" looking. "oh look mommy, chickies")
Side note...how I found out about the snow: DD1 gets spooked by the cat going up the stairs, falls down the stairs, gets up and cries..."mommy I hurt myself and God made it rain big fluffy drops!" Yeah.... Ducks were LOVING it...chicks, not so much!! LOL
The one by the WCA does! I know there is a jewish one that is supposed to be really good towards Pittsboro.
I use the square Styrofoam one now for a while, and have a low mortality rate. I do pick carefully what to put in them. I also have a turner, but have only used it once for a short time, and removed before 16th day. It was purchased at TSC. And if I keep a check on temp, moisture and turn by hand... each time as soon as the chicks have dry hair they go in the brooder box and I spray it down and start the next group.I am thinkin of gettin my first bator...was lookin at this one from TSC...."Little Giant Still-Air Incubator"...what are yalls opinions?
I have one broody hen, and if I did my math right, I should be having some chicks within the next few days. I'm so anxious! I can't wait to see how she does. She's sitting on 14 eggs!
