Oh my word!! I think I NEED to buy one of these for my MIL who finds our chickens highly entertaining. For some reason DH didn't find it funny, but I DID - maybe it's because he's on the WRONG end of the poop board!! LOL

Hoping to find MORE eggs in the coop today!!

Lots of gardening to do today, not to mention a coop clean up!! Have a wonderful day everyone!!

I find the chicken funny, but not that voice that goes with it, nor the song. I think those take away. A different voice would even have made the song better!
I watched it with the speakers turned off!

I need more containers to plant in, and they can be from recycled materials, such as sour cream tubs. Every year our gardening projects grow, and every year we must transplant up from starter trays, more.... and more.... and....

Last year we used disposable cups, and they did work, but fell over way too easy. We also, have used yogurt cups, but as much as we eat there are still not enough.. We have quite a few of the gallon traders, and once they get to that size we should be able to plant them. It will get warmer. Still many more varieties of herbs and others to plant.

These pics are from last year, but they are the size looking to move up.

I think I'm loosing this garden helper to the teen years... He grew over a foot, and thinks that he knows everything now.

Curiosity is still alive and well with this little garden helper!

I'll need to double check and make sure hubby didn't toss them, but I did have a stack of used plastic pots. A big stack. If it's still there, you can have them. I may not be able to check until I get back, so might be Monday. Remind me!

Care to know what this city girl attempting to be a country girl is UBER proud of today?? After a MERE 9 attempts (while DH is taking the garbage to the dump and getting more gas for the tractor) this girl managed to FINALLY make ONE successful attempt at backing the tractor and trailer up to the garden bed. Yes, I feel like I am one step closer to "arriving"!! LOL...now IF ONLY the tractor would answer my cries of "WHY are you turning? You're wheels are straight" cries LOL....It didn't help that DD1 & DD2 were both crying as I attempted to do this...LOL, not sure if it was cries of terror (on DD2's part) or dismay (on DD1's part - she LOVES going for "rides") LOL. Still...I managed to not only load the tractor with a full load of dirt (shoveled all by myself...woot), but BACKED IT UP and unloaded it all before having to come in and take care of the traumatized children. Maybe they were just so surprised I managed to do it...LOL

On a duck note...we FINALLY saw the ducks swimming in their pond today, DH was SO excited. Turned around and was having to try and explain what was happening next when my 2yo asked, "Mommy, what Cadbury doing?" - Yes...well this mama put it bluntly! "Cadbury is playing water polo with the girls!" - I know...BIG.FAT.LIE. I will confess and ask forgiveness when she is old enough to NOT go around repeating Cadbury was seeding his oats!

LOL. Maybe...just maybe...we'll get eggs from this "encounter" too!! LOL

Just got home from the flock swap. It was alot of fun, not many sellers, but an awesome variety of birds :D I sold everything I brought even my rooster! I actually sold a rooster! And came home with a California buck and a New Zealand doe :clap and a Bourbon red turkey poult. All in all a great day. Now to build cages for the rabbits, I wasn't planning on getting any meat rabbits until the summer time, but she had exactly what I wanted for a good price, so.......... I just couldn't pass them up.

Shoot. I've got all NZs except one Cali doe that I keep trying to swap out for another NZ. Too bad your swap was so far from me!
