Yep...last summer, but not this winter. Maybe they'll get it back this summer.

have you tried horse.com?  That's where I get my chicken/horse first aid and supplements.
I haven't, yet. I keep hoping to find it locally and not pay shipping!

Good Morning, Happy Chicken People!

When the sun came out yesterday, I couldn't resist, and let the chickens out. I was pleased that they all went back in at night, all went to the roosts...when I was having some keep trying to sleep in nest boxes before....and all the layers had found the nest boxes with no problems. Yay!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning Chicken folks!!
I am ONE happy momma!! Yesterday I went into the coop and found not one, not two, but THREE eggs!

We only have 5 layers at the moment - one I am not sure is quite POL yet so maybe only 4... anyway, had 2 eggs the day before then 3...looks like we're getting back into a regular routine...I ALMOST have a dozen eggs - Haha...of course because I just ordered 3 dozen for this month!!

Weekend plans: finish fencing the garden in, let the chickens out of "time out" and slowly introduce them to the younger girls...separate the freezer camp boys and start getting things ready to order some meat birds!

I hope everyone has a great Wednesday!!

real work for me today.. All chickens are doing good.. looks like one of my buff brahmas is a roo.. might be the first bird I send to freezer camp. Doublea need to learn how to process....

Hey -- my name is Mallory. I just spent a ridiculous amount of time this morning reading a lot of the end of this thread. Thought I would pipe in and say hi :) Last year was our first year trying chickens, and it was horrible, they all got really sick and we had to cull the flock. We decided that we would try to do this again, so we got 12 chicks from Tractor Supply on Saturday. Cleaned and sanitized everything and hopefully we will be lucky. Our neighbors chickens free-range and end up in our yard almost daily and never have gotten sick. So I don't know what went wrong with ours...

Well I hope everyone is doing well -- the weather has been great and hopefully spring will be here soon!

Welcome! Glad you found us! And I'm glad you're giving chickens another try.

And welcome to all the new folk I missed, too!

Good morning! They only charge $5.99 flat shipping. I usually get together with one or two other people and then we split shipping. They also have dog and I believe cattle/livestock supplies.
