Good morning folks

the girls have slowed down a bit on the
production line with the return of the
cooler air.........can't say as I blame them
..... I wouldn't want to put my bare tush
in the cool air either. The cool seems to
have more of a suck-in effect than a push
out for me and I guess it's the same for them.

hope your day is a good one

Good Morning, Happy Chicken People!

It's conference day! I'm starting off exhausted, as I've been doing 12-14 hours at work every day this week. Too tired to enjoy fun things. But I'll try.

The youngest of the chickies in JDC got evicted from the heat lamps last night! I found them huddled together in the corner. They seem fine, though. They're pretty well feathered. Still, rearrangements will happen this weekend!

Enjoy your day!

Ok, I have a feed question.
I feed my flock layena and they free range most of the day. I feed my chicks (8 weeks old now) chick feed. I will be integrating them into the flock soon. Since they are too young for layena feed, what do I do? Do I switch back to flock feed or will they be ok on the layena?
