Thanks. Thats Amber, Ember and Hickory. A friend of mine hatched them out. She kept them for me until the weather warmed up.They are 8 months old now. I would go and see them and take pictures so I would have pictures of them growing up. Can't get over the change in Hickory's coloring. He looked like a splash in his baby pictures. On one of the threads on here about other colors of silkies, one said he looked Columbian?

he is kinda columbian in color but he lacks the black around his neck

I just gave my crew fenbendazole which is a really safe dewormer. You can give it at something like 100 times the recommended dosage and not worry. I get SafeGuard which is made for horses, I open their mouths and stick a pea-sized amount on the roof of their mouths (like when I torture my dogs with peanut butter

). I make sure I smear that stuff right up into the entire top beak and they don't seem to be able to get rid of it.

WELCOME to all the new folks that have popped on the past few days! I hope you jump right in and make yourself at home here...these people really are a GREAT group...LOTS of helpers, support, etc...

Hehe...I thought I would give you all a little husband humor. My 5am conversation with the hubs went something like this... DH: "Do us all a favor and go into labor soon!" LOL

I think he's trying to USE me to get out of working - especially since he works this weekend and has to switch over to the night shift again for next week. Of course he's going to be out in the field with NO reception...I'm pretty sure IF I was to go into labor early, it would be while he's unreachable!!

At least he'd be awake...the last 2 he pretty much slept through until it was time for the "big moments"...LOL

OOhh...Moore6 - If I remember correctly (and that's a HUGE IF) today is your birthday?!? I know it's someone's birthday on here because they thought today would be a GOOD DAY for me to have the baby! If I am remembering correctly, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! I hope your day is WONDERFUL! If I am thinking of the wrong person, sorry, but whomever it is...HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! LOL

fingers crossed!!!! When is your hatch date?

It's supposed to be June 27th/28th. I've heard of there being a few day difference either way based on temperature. I'm hoping if mine hatch out a different date it will be earlier than later. We are going out of town for 16 days on June 29th!!! For some reason I wasn't thinking I had a lot more time when I put them in!

Hi everyone!
I have like 200 postings from the past week I have to go back and read, guess I missed a lot.
Hope you all are doing good.
It was SO HOT today, supposed to be hotter tomorrow, I didn't even want to go outside! Guess I got spoiled with how cool the spring was.
The temperature on my incubator seems to be going a little crazy, I think it's from the motor on the egg turner I didn't use one last time. Fingers crossed I get a decent hatch!

Yes, my dogs (Bassets) LOVE chicken poo and chicken food...GROSS!!!!! Not sure what it could do to them other than HORRIBLE breath!!!!
