BigMama is doing great with her first brood. The first pic has a least a piece of 10 of the 11 chicks. I had just let them out of their temp lot to go play.

The pic below is everyone running from shade to shade. By 11am the sun gets hot. The babies like to play/hunt around in the garden. BigMama can't get in there. With the way they are growing the chicks are not going to be able to get in there for very much longer.


Out of the 4 pics I never did get a pic with all 11 chicks visible at the same time.

Believe it or not, I bought those vanilla scented trees (car air fresheners) and have them hanging in the run where the rain can't get them, honestly I haven't seen that many flies. I need to get more because I think she used about 9. Smells pretty good out there. Got this from community chickens.

I had Mosquitos SOOO bad, I operate a licensed home daycare so I tried everything. I finally broke down and this past week had mosquito wizard of nc come out. The Mosquitos are gone I'd highly recommend trying a company like this.

I am wondering if anyone else on here is planning on going to the ABA National in Knoxville on Dec 6-8? 6 months away and I am anxiously waiting. I have never been to a National and can pass up one so close. I already booked a hotel room for 2 nights. I was surprised at how many rooms at various hotels are already booked. The hosting clubs hotel choice is the Marriot and it is full. It was too expensive for me anyways, but I was curious.
