I don't know exactly where you are or how far you are willing to travel, but in Beaulaville, NC there is a Flippin chicken auction every other Saturday.

Does anyone know when is the next show/swap in NC or any other place where you can buy/ sell chickens besides internet? Thank you.

There's a flock swap the first Saturday of the month at Carolina Town and Country in Sanford. So you've got 4 weeks until that.

The Wicked Chicken Auction in Wilson Mills is every Sunday

and I believe TSC in Fayetteville has a swap nearly every Saturday

Arianna - There are lots of options as you can see, depends on where you are and how far you want to drive. Many members on here aslo have birds they sell. Are you looking for something specific? Tell us what you are looking for and where you are, we may have what you want!

I wouldnt go to Wicked Chicken Auction. I got my first chickens from their. 4 pullets died in 5 weeks and got one that said it was a trio but turned out to have two roosters

Moving to north topsail for my work home in a few weeks. My real home (with the chickens) will remain in Snow Camp NC.

Does anybody know if Lexington still has its auction on wed. I heard it closed down due to disease. This what I heard. I just wanted to get some eggs to hatch.

I have gotten a few from there and yes.......you must be careful
much like you would anywhere you buy birds.....swaps.....breeders
.........auctions..........they all will have not-so-honest sellers......just
know what you are looking for and all characteristics and what a healthy
bird should look like and then QUARANTINE what you bring home
no matter where you get it.

Chocolate Orpingtons and Golden Cuckoo Marans. My friend that visited me from Florida three weeks ago brought the eggs with her. Can't wait to see them grow out!
