North Carolina

Yay!

Curious, how can you tell by coloring?
I'm still fairly new to sexing and hatching
She's just about 3 weeks old now, I think she's so cute

this is just me but, my olive egg, easter egger, ameraucanas boys tend to get more color in their wings around 2-3 weeks old. My guess on color is based on the assumption that her father was colorful... but still my frizzle girls always feather out real fast.

Okay, good to know, Thank you!

And thanks for the postive "she" thoughts, cknnewbie!!!

Would she be considered lavender since she looks like all my lavender chicks or does it have to be some specific genetics to be called that? Idk, either way I think HER coloring is so pretty

Dutch.........not a lavender.........it's a blue.
feathers behind the wings and the lower
flights are too dark for lavender.
Aww Thank you I will do my best to pull myself away from the duck thread.

Okay, thanks.
The feathers by her shoulder are a real light gray almost white, then they fade into a deep gray by her wing tips.
She hatched from the Olive Egger eggs I got from you!
I'm really happy with her! (I hope if I say "her" enough it will be true!)
