Barred Rocks hatched saturday, big suckers for just hatching! Beautiful though! Cant wait for them to get their feathers in so i can sex them. Got the Barred Rock eggs from a very nice couple from Wingate, traded two Yellow Golden Pheasants for a dozen eggs. ( needed to get rid of the phesants) gonna get another flat of eggs from them sometime soon i love barred rocks personally because of their versatile uses and hearty nature.

Goooood afternoon everyone been super busy getting ready for Chicken stock next weekend, building transport cages and deciding who all I'm taking.
Got aanother shipment of chicks this morning, best guess on breeds are Buff polish, silver laced polish, Golden Campines, Welsummer, light brown leghorns or ???, And some more gold sexlinks. 15 chicks in total.

My son wants a silver laced polish really bad!
Where did you order from, the ones I've seen are straight run and I think it will take too long to determine gender and he'll be all attached & I'll be stuck with a rooster.

I ordered from Meyer they sex thiers' , I have been real pleased with their polish.

If only you were down the road, I'd offer you these two chicks.

Yours are really pretty, sometimes hatcheries have muddled patterns on their silver laced, yours doesn't!
I will have to look into them in the spring
