Thanks for a stroll down memory lane with the
"back then" TV shows. I watched just about all of
them while growing up.

To clarify, I don't keep chicks in the shower I use, but the bathtub downstairs that's only used when we have family in town, has pretty much become a permenant brooder, there's always some kind of animal in the bathtub!

CSB-- Glad DH found a tractor!!! Mine won't stop talking about one, we live on LESS than HALF an acre, and all he wants is a tractor!!! When he was 16 he bought one instead of a car & drove it to school everyday! Must have taken him an hour to get there!

RF-- Congrats on the hatch!

I got 3 emails this morning from the weather channel talking about this winter storm. My daughter goes to preschool Tues & Thurs and only went 2 days in Jan with holidays & snow. I have my fingers crossed she's not off this week too. You pay tuition for the month whether or not they go, I can't afford to pay it for her to stay home! Plus I want to be out in this garden!!! My trays from last year didn't hold up so good so just had 10 flats & 120 6 cell seedling trays delivered I got off amazon.

Anyone else doing the Hugs & Kisses consignment sale??? I am so far behind on tagging items, I've got 8 bins in my living room, so I'm off to do that!

Have a great day everyone!!!

Well, all 3 eggs hatched and I got 1 black and 2 duns. :D

Squee! Mama and her babies are still inside. Don't know that anything else will hatch in her pile. Outside I've got all three broody silkies on one mystery lf eggs and Rocky the BR on what I hope is one of her eggs and an EE egg. Barn yard mixes all of them, unless our EE cockerel managed to fertilize the EE egg. I'll be surprised if any of them are fertile with the cold we've had. I have no idea how touchy the male reproductive system is......

Re: old shows, when I was a kid, TV Land channel was one of the only channels my mom let me watch when I stayed at my Grandma's, so I know almost all of those shows pretty well. :) Don't forget Hogan's Heroes!!!

I have been refreshing the weather on my phone like mad since Saturday... I hope the schools aren't canceled on Tuesday or Thursday so I can still work! Can't afford another 5-day weekend!

Speaking of touchy chickens: my POLs that were hatched in July-August are finally looking like they may start laying... Those combs are turning bright red! But watch this cold weather set them back AGAIN.
