This is the great conundrum with Ameraucanas. Technically, they are purebred when it comes to genetics but not according to the SOP.

There are two ways to look at them. 

If you look at them as a breed all ameraucanas lay blue/green eggs, have peacombs, and slate color legs. If they come from a mix of purebred AMS they should ALL have at least those qualities. 

If you look at them according to the SOP established by breeders they would be EEs. 

Breed standards say blue eggs only, for whatever that's worth.

I added the green, because a lot of people see color differently. like how some crayons are labeled "red orange" or "blue green". And the AMs eggs fade color after a few days making them look slightly green.

Good morning folks

We are getting lots of eggs and have lots of pullets........
DH is anxious for the swap to happen so we can
sell some......there are a few birds in those coops.
I think I will have to split them into two groups to
take to swaps.........just too many for one.........

Reminds me of that one commercial with the lady looking for purple paint.

I have two EEs laying brown right now.... this is the third out of 19 EEs I've had. Out of that, I've had only 2 that laid the real blue egg. This batch, they are mostly olives. I keep hatching out the greens hoping to get more that. We'll see. They're prolly all boys.
