Well, I decided that I'd dust the coop as I am thinking about finishing the paint job I started a few years ago. After almost 12 years, to say there is a little dust and a few cob webs that need to go, is a bit of an understatement! I could write my name in the dust on the walls, the top half of the door on the inside wasn't even the color it had been painted. Needless to say what I thought might only take 30 minutes at most took a lot longer and the coop is only half done. I'm starting to re-think the whole finish painting the coop thing. But it got me to wondering how much dust is in my parents coop which is over 20 yrs old (imagining 2x4s that now look like 4x4s at a quick glance

Someone broke into my husband's shop today and stole thousands of dollars worth of our tools. He is absolutely devastated. I can't understand why anyone would do that. It's never mattered how tough times have gotten. At least we could always make and repair things to get by. Now, if my husband lost his job tomorrow, we would have nothing to fall back on. I don't know why anyone would do this to someone else. Some human beings are just horrible. Sorry. I really needed somewhere to vent.

I feel your pain really I do in while I was in KY the people that rented my house ran my bills up over 900.00 stole 10,000.00 worth of everything and destroyed my house I hadn't heard from them in wks so I came back and every light in the house was on my exspensive fish tank was off the house was a wreck and empty except for a cat that was locked in it with no food and water or litter box the yard was filled with garbage I'm still finding needles and crack pipes after the dozen I found in my daughters room I could go on and on but these were people I've known for years and the cops wouldn't do a thing because there was a lease and now we can't find them so I feel you I do

Thanks y'all. I am trying to keep it together. Maybe if I go watch some chicken tv, I'll calm down a bit. Lol!

That's awful! I fear that this is someone we know or a neighbor. No one would've ended up there by accident. It is very well off the beaten path. This is someone that knew what was there. It hurts more when you think that it could be someone you knew and trusted, doesn't it?

I heard there's gonna be a swap at the TSC in raaeford this Saturday. I wanna go but I have no chickens to sell nor buy. :/ maybe I'll go just to look and take some photos of the chickens there. Does it usually get a good amount of flockers?

It's a little far for me, but I am thinking about going. A few too many of my chicks are looking like cockerels and I can only keep so many! I went once last summer (July?) and it was pretty slow. Not many people selling. Since it was just once, I don't know if that's normal or not. It might be crazy busy though since its the day before Easter..
