Here is a pic of my sick rooster. I fed him again tonight with a syringe. This time peas and baby oatmeal. And some strawberry baby gerber yogurt. I would say he enjoyed it but he kept trying to roost on my lap so I'm pretty sure he was sleeping. Lol. But as soon as it touches inside his mouth he's swallow shake his head and calm right back down. I checked all the hens today... None seem to be egg bound of have any symptoms of it so I guess the egg was cracked and they just ate it. :/ I do check for eggs a few times a day because I have morning layers and mid day layers and night time layers. And sometimes my hens get all pecky when I take their egg and later on try to take another hens egg from her so...I keep an eye out. I've had cracked eggs before but never a missing egg! Lol. :) anyway here's a pic of my rooster monkey! ;) he is super sweet and his comb looks better now and I haven't seen him throw up today but he's still not eating much and not drinking and his poop still is super runny mucousy yucky and smells to high heaven!

Someone broke into my husband's shop today and stole thousands of dollars worth of our tools. He is absolutely devastated. I can't understand why anyone would do that. It's never mattered how tough times have gotten. At least we could always make and repair things to get by. Now, if my husband lost his job tomorrow, we would have nothing to fall back on. I don't know why anyone would do this to someone else. Some human beings are just horrible. Sorry. I really needed somewhere to vent.

Oh, I'm so sorry! I assume you filed a police report. Hope they catch whoever did it. It sounds like more than one person. Tools are heavy and bulky, mostly.

Anyone good with zoning law? They say my property is now R20 and I'm within a mile from city limits. What animals can I have? I'm getting different answers from different sorces links would be awesome

have you tried coccidiosis medication?

It's a little far for me, but I am thinking about going. A few too many of my chicks are looking like cockerels and I can only keep so many! I went once last summer (July?) and it was pretty slow. Not many people selling. Since it was just once, I don't know if that's normal or not. It might be crazy busy though since its the day before Easter..
It's kinda far from me too and with these gas prices I don;t know if i can afford a joy ride down there but I'm curious

I've tried the chick starter medicated but I haven't tried any coccidiosis medication. I've had chicken with a it before and he doesn't seem to have what they had. No blood in his feces. I'm not sure what I used to treat the last ones that had it last year. :/ I had about 20 or so get it last year and I only had a few survivors. :( it was awful.

there are different strains the one that causes bloody poop is tenella. it's the most fatal. And since you mentioned weird feces i thought it might be something intestinal. you already wormed him so you could try probiotics and i got this antibiotic medication that is for certain intestinal bacteria. if you lived near me i could give you some of it
