Nope. Couldn't do it..... lol.
What is "EE" ?
Quote: No it means easter egger ( so you got it right), which is a bird that lays a colored egg but does not meet any breed standard. There's a thread called "differences between ameraucanas, araucanas, and easter eggers" on the general breed discussion section.
I got a few Jersey Giants they are at 5 weeks old now. I have them in with Bresse and Dominiques of the same age. The Jersey Giants are starting off very slowly. They are not fully feathered yet (about half) and are about 1/3 the size of the others.Yes.......EE is Easter Eggers and ramirezframing has it right.......any
breeds can be used to make them but most are Ameracana mixes.
We use the Ameracanas but I am thinking of getting a Jersey Giant
hen or Langshan..........a rather larger breed hen to make bigger EEs
with my Ameracanas. We prefer the bearded and muffed EEs.
Good morning everyone!
Haha peacock woke us up sounding like an airhorn. Maybe he's just starting to get his voice because I've never heard that type of a peacock sound before! Going to be HOT this week, have to get the gardening done early. I finally gave in and closed the windows to put on the AC.
Hypothetical Question-- If you could only have one type of chicken in your flock, what would it be? My husband asked me this this morning and I couldn't come up with 1 I was stuck at like 10. Just curious what others would say.![]()
