Haven't seen the pitt bull pup since the day the attack happened. Today I'm sick and been in bed all day and my son runs in yelling that the dog is back. I grab the gun and run out and start shooting, couldn't even tell you if birds were running in the pen or not

. After emptying a whole clip onto the dog (only a bb gun right now, thinking I might need to upgrade), I slow down enough to replace the clip that my son ran to grab, took a quick look and noticed only one (a silver laced polish rooster) was in the pen. He wasn't moving and was up between the waters. Once reloaded I preceded to start shooting the brown mutt again, as she goes between the two polish pens. She then just stops and sits there but can't/ won't get out. So I hand the gun to my oldest (with instructions to shoot if the dog moves) and go over across the road to get her owner. Needless to say her owner couldn't believe that her dog was in my chicken pen. She slowly comes over to get her dog (I have a feeling it's because I wasn't leaving), who's name happens to be Katie, out of my chicken pen. Next time I think I'll be better off just calling the pound and waiting for them.
The rooster popped up and ran to the nest box with the rest of the birds. Needless to say he's pretty naked on his back /neck and took a pretty good chunk out of the tip of his beak (up past the quick line by a bit) but alive. The rest are looking like they are ok also.
This is the same brown dog that I had a feeling brought over/ was followed by the pitt pup, as I have never seen the pitt pup till that day, but have caught this "Katie" in my yard before. Normally she barks and growls at me, but stays about 10 feet away from me until she has ran out of my yard.
Now to crawl back in bed before I up chuck everywhere
