So last Monday after work(I only work 4 hours) I came home to my neighbors telling me their dog got my hen. The German Shepard mix jumped my fence then got into the coop. I was SO upset. i noticed her back wounds which I applied blue-kote to but she can't stand. After a week she seems to be trying to move, she's flown out of my arms twice but still unable to put weight on her legs. Nothing looks broken. I'm not seeing her eating or drinking much but just laid her first egg (shell had blood) since the attack. Is there anything else I can do to help her?

Good morning folks

More pretty skies for today......or at least that is what
that weatherman said. I must admit that all these warm
sunny days do not put me into a mood of Halloween or
Thanksgiving. It does not "feel" like autumn when it's
this nice and sunny.....I almost want to go to the beach
as the water is still warm. The girls are confuzzled too.

Vitamins & electrolytes is about all you can give her now. And rest. Nature will do the rest.

Cut it with a knife fog here today. We always have this period in the fall between warm and cool weather. I gave away my pretty buff orp. roo this wk. Yes he was beautiful, but I can only handle one flock during the winter and I saved my roo, a delaware from Kathyinmo. His name is Adam and he is gentle.
Hope everyone is well. I finally am feeling better right now. No more bp flare ups so gradually I am getting back into life. Whew! that was weired and scarey. One Dr. said seizures but he was wrong, It was Bp flares. I could easily have had a stroke. Trust your own instincts first then the Dr.s. Have a great day. Oh they said on the weather we will be down to the high 30,s one night this wk. Have you got your firewood yet.?
