Good morning folks

It certainly has been windy a time or two this season. That wind
can get to be interesting at times. There has been a few times
while catching it as a tail wind that the bus was almost a race car
and the chickens were eagles.

Good morning folks. Cool out this morning but it's going to be a perfect Carolina winter day today. Put a layer of compost on the raised beds yesterday gonna let the girls till it in. Have a great day.

Good Morning North Carolina! At least it's sunny :)

I need some help/advice. Honey doesn't seem to be feeling well. The left side of her face is slightly swollen and she is standing in this odd position. Her crop does not feel hard; and she is drinking (a lot) and eating. I have her in the chick infirmary so she can rest. I took the photos last evening when I got home... and I realize they are both of her right side (her left side wasn't swollen until this morning). She does open and close her mouth (what i would guess is more than normal for a chicken- as none of my other girlies are doing this) but there is no smell. Any ideas? Also, it does look like she might be getting some frostbite on her wattles (dark purple spot up close to her face). Is that what you think?

Thanks so much for your advice!
