Golden Cuckoo Marans, a few Call Ducks, lots of Lavender Ameraucanas, and lots of Gold Laced Orpingtons!

Good morning folks

Another bright day is here. I'd rather be home enjoying
the lovely weather and get going on a few projects but
the bossman says to come to work......oh well.

Hollowoak is working with Welsummers and she has nice
ones too. One person had gotten some from her to work
with agility training on......like they do with dogs......imagine
that.

I've been reading but not posting, being way down under the weather. Better today, but weak as a chick. From here on, it'll be improvement!

During all this, I had forty chicks hatch out. Managed to get them all out into the brooder. And another batch goes to lockdown on Friday, so must clean out those hatchers! But there are some lovely EEs and OEs...mostly OEs...and a few Wellies in this batch. It'll be hard to part with any!

Enjoy your day!

Wow, nice!! Are they all for you or are you hoping to sell some?

Little Birdie Hatchery in Wake Forest posted this morning that they have Welsummer chicks. I'm having trouble keeping track of where everyone is :p

@Hollowoakfarm hope you feel better soon! all those babies are gonna keep you busy!!!

i really want a couple of welsummers... this weekend is already so busy... littlebirdiehatchery seems to sell out quickly of certain breeds... we tried to stop the weekend of 3.14 to pick up a few welsummer chicks, but he couldn't meet us; maybe i'll try again...

our second coop is almost done then we can do the run... then we can put the expansion on the first coop... then maybe i can get to fixing the fencing on the back part of the horse pasture... oh how i love having a farm list

It seem that there are lots of folks who are hatching or
getting chicks. We usually selling the chicks from test hatching
of the eggs for fertility checks but this year I am going to
need to keep some of those chicks to replace some of the
older laying hens. Got to love chick season.
