Rotflmbo. .as I laid in bed this morning, secretly willing the kids to sleep past daylight, my son rolled over (after sleeping in bed with me using me as a kicking post all night)..he said, 'mom, why don't you pay someone to clean the house so we can work outside ALL day?"..

Is that a Boxer in your profile pic? I saw that and had to laugh at the 'dog snoring', bc if that's a Boxer it's more like rear ended wind instead of front end..lol..

I keep telling myself to get someone to clean...but I'd want to clean up before they came!

Jake in my avatar is an English Mastiff...albeit a smallish one. We have a Great Dane and two-and-a-half Mastiffs. Lots of snores...and wind!

Lol..I have an American Staffie too and it's a close race around here as to who's bum will run you out of a room (or the whole house) the fastest. .my boxer is ancient. .she just turned 11 and I think in her old age she's pulling ahead in that race

I would be the same way with someone else cleaning..or over their shoulder way too much..so I guess for now it'll have to get done in the evening or rainy days...it was priority all winter when it was too cold or too frozen to work outside..fair is fair after all..lol

Good morning folks

It looks like we are in for a long heat spell and to me that seems more
draining on the energy than a few hot days here and there. The worse
of it is I am in the middle of switching out pools to a larger one.
The little 15 footer just wasn't big enough for me AND the grandbabies
at the same time.....I am a small whale in size after all and need some space.

These days the DH won't let me ride by myself and with good reasons.
You wouldn't happen to know anyone looking for a couple of project paints
would you? I'm just not going to be able to get to them and they deserve
to be loved and adored by someone but are not beginners horses.

Well, I broke down yesterday and turned on the A/C...only to find that it is broken down. Our A/C guy will come Friday to fix it. In the meantime, hubby installed our "emergency" window unit in the LR. The dogs are confused about the doors to the back of the house being closed, but they'll get over it.

If I were closer, I would take them in a heartbeat. .my Mustang was a rescue at 17 years old, scars covered her face and she would tremble at even the sound of a man's voice. I still cannot use leather on or around her, but after 3 months of the hubs being her only caregiver, she loves him to pieces..I will never start her under saddle, shes just here to be safe and happy.. my paint was one of two survivors from a herd of 30+ that were starved to death and left where the fell.. her mom was the other survivor and she's now at my parents being a pasture ornament. .I just started my paint under saddle after 2 years of rehab.
I have been training for about 17 years, but unfortunately am about 15 hours away..just guessing but I know it's a ways.. too bad we can wrap them in bubble wrap and send them USPS

Good morning folks

Yesterday was injection day.....#2. Sure hope this stuff keeps working
for me...the first one has given some relief. It amazes and frustrates
me how a little injury can sideline a person.

The birds are dealing with the heat so far and have not slowed the
egg production yet but I am sure they will soon enough and I am just
about ready for them to do so.

Sorry Bantambury but I don't know anyone who breeds those little
ones.......but they sure are cute.

I don't know any breeders, but I did a search for "NC parakeet breeders" and got several.
