Get a big feeder and fill it up before you leave, and leave lots of water. Im sure all will be fine.

thanks! i normally do this but im having to refill water in my smallest coop almost everyday :(

Hey Guys!

Does anyone know of a good place to get feed other than tractor supply? The one in my area (Clemmons) has a terrible selection when it comes to chickens. They don't even carry the large bag of Dumor laying crumbles. I had to get the small one

Thanks!
theres a great feed store that sells chicks year round called the urban chicken. its in raleigh, but its totally worth going to! they have a flock behind their store and store chickens! full of organic and name brand feed!

theres also twin oaks feed store, which tends to horses and other things too. (i dont like it as much as the urban chicken)

i also googled "feed stores in NC" and a lot more came up. for the most part i only go to TSC, twin oaks and urban chicken :) hope it helps!

I was so excited to go to Tractor supply the other day starting to get things ready, and I was soooooo disappointed! They had such a terrible selection. You may want to try the southern states store in mocksville. It's where I plan on going in a couple weeks to get some stuff. I will be going around the first of the month so if you don't have to make a run before then I will "scope" it out for you. There is also the feed mill on Hampton Road. (google clemmons feed mill and you will find it.) I haven't checked it out yet though.
