Hey everyone!
I have a Crevecoeur rooster that needs to find his forever home. I hatched this handsome fella on May 25th as part of a classroom hatching project. Was hoping he was a she but alas, the crowing has begun!
Crevecoeurs are a rare breed that originated in France. There is currently a conservation project through the Livestock Conservancy to try and boost their numbers. Check out the Crevecoeur Conservation Project on Facebook. (This bird came from that stock as a donation to the project). ;-)

We are in the Greensboro area and I would love to find Mr. Maddy a home as we cannot keep him. We are in a neighborhood and only should have hens. He's a gentle one. Hand raised from the egg. He's free to a good home, would just like for him to find a good place to be.

If interested just let me know!
Thanks!

Hi there everyone. Anyone doing hurricane prep for Florence? I'm in Carteret County and have started. I'm going to lock the chickens in my shed; it's as sturdy as the house. If we have to evacuate I'll fill all four feeders and five waterers and deal with the poop fest when we're allowed to return.
