Story
Oh my gosh I am so excited, and jealous you all get to hatch chicks I have to wait till spring, but thats okay I am very excited about the Silkies BC, We're going to put a divider in the smaller coop so the Silkies will have one part and my duck who won't sleep with her sisters can have the other side kinda like a duplex...
I've been doing a bit of reading about them and gosh they sound like the perfect pet. How in the world do they see though? I don't think I've seen a face yet. lol Congrats to you Hen Thymes sounds like a maternity ward in the making!! Good for you AllAbout! kinda nice just to go to the grocery store. Oh BC how exciting to have 17 out of 17 how many chicks do you have now of various ages? And someone got 17 of your silkies wow do you do everything in 17's lol I looked at the piece in the paper and those Silkies were gorgeous. Well I haven't gone sledding yet but I have fed all of them quiet a bit, I am exhausted. Talk to you all tomorrow!

How exciting! I hope we can have a BYC meet up at the show!
We are bringing 5 to show that I know of at this moment, probably more before I'm done.
I am probably going to bring a few of DH hutches to offer for sale and probably some of my lavender orpingtons. Who knows what else I may have with a new bator to do lots of hatching.
HenThymes~~~what a wonderful idea!! a meet up.....maybe we could even make it a "lunch". I always starve at shows because I don't usually like what they're selling, and of course I can't leave the showground to get something. Maybe the heated building has picnic tables like they do behind the unheated building. We've got plenty of time to plan something, if enough people are interested
Have finally dug out and was able to get down the mountain. Dried meal worms arrived, and my feathered friends think I am wonderful.
It was so cold here that I would give them warm oatmeal, and it would freeze before they could finish it. I would microwave the rest. Our roads are still awful!
hen tymes= Wow 2 bators in a week. Thats gr8. I started hatching in a seperate incubator a couple of years ago and had much improved hatchrates. Good luck
