I have pekins & a muscovy... no more ducks, really... they keep trying to get in the house as it is!

Do you know the looks I get when people come to my door and there is a muscovy sitting by the front door waiting for me and staring anyone down who tries to ring my doorbell? Better then a watch dog! HAHAHAHA

But, I wanted to say I am getting quite a good amount of eggs all of a sudden? My Jap Bantams are laying again, and even got 2 eggs from my silkies. HOORAY!

So I really do need to get a incubator this year.

I'm picturing the guard duck on duty

for eggs

I wormed my flock and have been throwing my eggs away. Makes me so sad. I had to go buy eggs. That makes me even sadder. The extra large eggs are the size of my silkie eggs, it is pathetic. *sigh*

I have a bunch of teenagers, I figure they should start laying in a month or two. I hope!

Had another BLRW hatch out last night, 1 more egg, doing nothing yet. I'll candle it when I take this chick out and put her with her sisters (wishfull thinking). I need more BLRW eggs, I have some lined up for the Easter Hatch, but I may not wait that long. My youngest daughter love blue and wants a yard full of blue chickens. She's my littlest enabler! My oldest daughter wants lavender, my son likes black. I like them all.

I love looking out the window and seeing them scattered around like confetti...

I do feel bad her

She finally came out of hiding sometime last night and found the nesting box

She is out this morning but every time the rooster gets close she pecks him

Scared to even look at the 7 day forecast, the thought of snow/ice and trying to get everyone bathed for the show, only to be stuck on the mountain

Don't think it's going to hit 30 degrees this morning....that's the temp I try to wait for before I go out and serve breakfast.
