BC so glad to hear your DH is home! bet he'll be liking his home cooked meals! Can't wait to see everyone at the show! I'm drooling already! Got eggs going into lockdown in the morning! Here we go, round two! Brunswick and Ray are both ready to go out soon, Says them! Glad to see we have mostly everyone back for the weekend hoot! Night all!!

Morning y'all, a great day here south of Charlotte, a little chilly when I let the hens out this morning but otherwise all is well. Henry had to use his new door today, otherwise he'd still be inside Chez Henry. I am going to glue/attach a line of shingle down the middle to give him and his forthcoming harem somethingto grip on as they walk in/out.

Wow, how strange to wake up to frozen waterers again.... chickens didn't seem to mind or notice the change in the weather---but I sure did

Finally started the final lockdown, so then we can shut down the incubator for repairs & cleaning. Think I have 4 dozen eggs right now waiting to go in

when Silkies are laying, you have to take advantage of it, because you never know when all of them will stop and go broody

I have just been informed by my 12 year old DD that I have a problem and need rehab..... Do any of you see a problem with 59 eggs in the incubators???? Really! The nerve.......

I'm getting more quail eggs this week for my dh to hatch in her pre school class.... that way I can blame someone else if the hatch rate stinks!
