North Carolina

Wish me luck! I have a camp trailer near emerald isle which I am in right now. Bad storms a coming along witht he possibility of tornados. We are prepping buy putting the car near the door and getting the bird kennels ready to shoot up to the bathhouse so we all will be safe. Lets see....4 dogs, one parrot and one Wilma chicken and two adults in a bath house. Don't know if any other campers would want to join us

they would be welcome. Wilma has been a hit. Its like having a puppy she just stays right by my feet. Next Thursday I think she will be big enough to join her flock mates. I am going to bed her down Thursday night because I will be home the rest of the weekend to make sure she does okay and doesn't get picked on too much. Well all be safe I know the storms are coming from that directions. Keep all human and animal babies safe.

We're hanging out getting ready. Columbus County is experiencing high winds. The clouds are getting darker and coming this way FAST! The place where we'll go if worse comes to worse is ready. I just hope we don't have to use it. A few years ago some people were killed by a tornado about 6 miles from us. Storms like this make me nervous and excited. I LOVE severe weather.

Welcome I have happy hens!! just give em some time I'm sure someone on here is from your area.

Ruthann the barn/coop looks great!! and those chicks are adorable, your going to love them and baby chicks will be coming one day!! We had some extremely high winds and lots of rain, finally the rain got out of here around noon, but the winds have been high. The river below out house was close to be up at the banks. thank goodness it stopped when it did.

We live about 20 minutes south of Carrboro, what kind of chickens do you have on your farm. WE are raising Dominiques.

Hope all are ok, especially those in the storm areas. Please check in everybody when you get a chance.
