Anyone missing a hen in Angier?

***Hubby and the neighbor are out on a rescue for a hen and 15 of her chicks sitting on the side of the road in downtown. Was wondering if anyone had a missing mama bird? Otherwise we may have a rescue available to a good home in the next week long as everyone gets here healthy and able to leave, and the owner doesn't claim her. ***

Sadly, my husband got there and tried to round them up. A hispanic guy drove up and says there were his birds and to leave them... if they get hit, they get hit!

My husband was actually thinking about taking them anyways!

you know what, I almost hope someone swerves and wrecks in an effort to avoid the chickens. Cause then the hispanic man is responsible for the accident and will be held accountable. Maybe that is, he'll probably 'No Habla English' and 'No, chickens are not mine.' and we're back at square one.
