I have seen someone in the auction section with Splash JGs eggs every week or go to the JG thread and ask, someone will have them.

SCM, you're welcome! I just made a batch myself today! I also made rosemary, rosemary apple, rose petal, strawberry blueberry jam and strawberry syrup. I think I'm worn out!

I wanted to come check in on everyone. I wish it wasn't so hot today, I wanted to go out and play with the chickies. They've been so awesome, and probably the friendliest I've ever had. They will follow me around, jump in my lap and just peck at my jeans or whatever I have in my hand. I have this one black EE/Cochin mix who will chase off whoever is in my lap to get 'her' spot back! Hahahaha

It is kinda sad the roo has to go... but I'm afraid of pushing the limits with my neighbors when I already have 2. He's such a sweety!

Hi neighbor... I thought I saw someone on Craigslist with some BJG chicks in Dunn or something? But that was a couple weeks ago. Good luck!

I would like to go, trade roosters if possible for hens (not breed specific). Parking on Person street is going to be awful!

What kind of roosters do you need to rehome?

roos crow when they feel like it, it gets loud around here cause some people around us also have roos so they all sing together. I can hear some way off in the woods in every direction when the singing starts. lol

I have heard them start up an hour or two before sunraise.

Ours have crowed as early as 4 am, but we are the only ones who can here them since our coop is behind our home and our neighbors are across the river. But they crow quite a bit in the morning and no so much in the afternoon. Actually I think our hens probably make more noise then our 2 roos.

Hey everyone, just trying to catch up, we spent the day at the NC ZOO...

Wow was it hot and a very long day. Just got home a bit ago, got chores done, collected eggs and ate dinner. I think I'm ready for bed already.

Love the pics from today, especially the jelly!

Hope to get some done myself tomorrow.

Also - went into lockdown last night with 3 serama eggs (my first of the season), 4 split black/lav bantam orps, 4 buff mottle bantam orps & two split black lav marans. They are due Friday so I am anxiously already pacing back and forth.
