x2!!

Thank you everyone for helping me out on the whole egg issue.

figures I wash the first two...well I will just fry them up for DH today (he's been asking me ever since he found out we had someone lay - now who is addicted??
gig.gif
) I had NO idea they could last that long...how cool is that? Thank you for the tip on checking freshness too!!

I will say I moved into an apartment when I was first going to college and I kid you not, there was an egg left in the refrigerator. I lived there for 3 years and never touched that egg!!

I was so afraid of it breaking. When I moved out, I was nice and disposed of it...let's just say I was amused by all of the rodents & animals that were checking that garbage out!!

(I even sealed it in several ziploc baggies)

One of my bantam girls that I have been patiently waiting for 8-1/2 months has now given me a second egg in the past few days!!!!

First one is already in the bator but using the little brinsea I cannot ad this second one, it will have to wait till the next set 15-16 days from now.

one of these days I will be getting some more from you. Want to get a big roo too. Both of my LO are laying and they lay an egg as big as my Brahmas. so i am very pleased. And probaly for the best that neither of my roos can mate with them. I really want to get a O to go with them one of these days. Love the splash.

Henthymes, you girls are always so pretty!!!

I may be bugging you next spring for some fertile eggs. Thankfully, I am DONE hatching this year, whether the silkies keep going broody or not. (Which, they will!!!)

Thank Shannon, I am only hatching just a few of this or that for what I need to work on a project or two.

I can't till next breeding season which for me won't come till after fall show season. I have some really nice young ones coming up and want to see how well they do at the shows before putting together new breeding groups for the best of the best.
