Hi NH201. I am new to chickens and chicks and have 26 1 week ODs right now. They are very fun by the way. Anyway, that sounds kind of startling when you say your hens back is almost totally exposed.

Is that from a rooster trying to ride her all the time? If so, that seems so crazy. Is that normal or is your roo a little too aggressive? I don't think I'm ready for my poor hens to be all torn up like that.

Would having more hens help? What a little stud you have huh? lol.

Ok, just came in from rounding up the chickens... it was coop swap time and I figured in the dark all would be good. NOPE! Had one little brat (in fact I've only ever called her 'Brat' because I could use the other B-word in front of the kids! LOL), who made a run for it. Hubby was MAD! Once I had her she was fine... that's when I realized his voice flipped her out!

No wonder my husband doesn't get along with my birds, they don't seem to like men!? When DD and I are out... everyone is calm and loves on us, total trust... he walks out and its all H*@# breaks loose! hahaha

He prefers and loves on the ducks though....

Good Morning folks !!!!!!!

Hope everyone has a good day and gets just enough rain to water everything but not too much.

We really do need some rain here for water levels
and good gardens this summer.

Good luck at the WCA to those looking for something to buy
