Just found my Buff Laced Polish rooster dead !

Fine before I left this morning....now just dead.... not even a year old yet !!!

And it figures..... I just sold all the Gold Laced, the Reds & White Crested Blacks last Sun.

So now down to the Silver laced . Good thing I have eggs I can set sitting on the counter. * sigh*

I'll be setting eggs in the next couple weeks from a split roo over split hens. I do want to keep a lav roo, but if there are extras I'll mention it here first. With luck though, you'll have the perfect replacement before then.

Those of you in the counties surrounding Johnston be careful out there as we have a tornado warning/watch (whichever means the conditions are just right, not the one where one has been spotted...LOL I always get them confused). Just out of curiosity...what do chickens DO in a tornado, anyone know? Are they smart enough to go back into the coop?? Just wondering if I should lock them up just in case or let them fend for themselves.
