Good Sunday Morning everyone!! Is it just me, or does anyone else miss that hour of sleep?? I literally stared at the clock last night watching it "spring" forward. BAH!! Oh boy...did I mention DH is already talking about fencing in all of our property so we can have more chickens (BHEP - he brought out a pool for us to have ducks...and gave the okay!!), building more barns/lean-tos (for sheep and maybe a goat).

I am officially convinced he either wants to avoid me these last few weeks of pregnancy and post pregnancy...or just wants to hide outside and avoid all potential for diaper duty!!

Bueatiful!!!!...thanks for sharing.
Chicken pics. Since I spent the day with them, I thought I'd share some of my feathery goodness:

First, a couple of Splash. My favorite girl in the foreground.

Then a couple of my blue hens...

I had trouble getting a good shot of my blue roo. He escapes getting named, too.

My black (split) cockerel, Toby...

A couple black (split) hens....

I couldn't get a good shot of Sasquatch, the buff roo. But, the next picture is what's going to WCA...maybe even next weekend, if hubby can build cheapy transport cages.

I feel like I'm posting chicken porn or something.......

A good sunny Sunday morning to you all......

Transferrred the last 2 chicks across to the brooder box this morning, all are well....... Grand total of 26 chicks from a 37 egg lockdown.... (I am not the world's best candler so often put the eggs in to lockdown just incase.....)

All are doing well.......

Have a great day everyone!!

What a weekend so far, my parents came up last night and took us out to dinner, then came by this morning to meet all the new baby goats, and see our progress on our various outbuildings. Milked both momma goats and got about 6 cups of milk, and we also are successfully bottle feeding the babies now...it has taken a ton of patience but they finally have the hang of it. We also have gotten a lot of "spring cleaning" done both in the house and out, and that had been something I was dreading...but its done now so

time to go play out in this beautiful sunshine with the kids

Well, now I am sick - I think it is my allergies draining making my throat sore... well hoping anyway, I hate being sick.

I need bator help... the HWH thermostat is working OK, and temps are holding, but I have a digital one on the way cause i cannot take the tiny screw driver out of the hole for ajusting the temp because then it swings too low?? Not sure why, and leaving it in is temptation for the little ones. Anyway - (cross posted from the homemade incubator thread)

Here is a pic of the inside of my cooler-bator, the probe hanging down is to a thermometer (the foil on the probe is preventing radiant heat from messing with it cause it was reading 104-108 and the others reading 99*), the blue thing is my LED lit fan. Would I need to move my fan to the lid pointing down and put my digital thermostat probe where the fan is or put the digital thermostat probe under the fan?
