Good morning everyone!! DH is spending the morning working on finishing touches on the barn and I am organizing our office while DD1 sleeps IN!! WOOT!!

This is our LAST weekend with company here...after that, I am going to enjoy our chickens and new family!! After that...a QUIET home (well as quiet as it can be with 2 youngins!!)

Have a great day everyone!!

Got home late from work last night, so we canceled our plans to send Cornish X to freezer camp. Figured we'd sleep in. Didn't sleep in though, so we got 10 of them done before hubby had to get ready to leave for a meeting. Only 14 left for tomorrow! Yay!

I hear little peeps coming from the incubator! No pips yet, but they're talking to each other. Just a bunch of Orps from the mixed Orp flock. I'll keep the ones whose genetics I can tell; the blue, splash, lavender and buff, but the funky colors and the blacks will go to WCA. (So will the buffs eventually) I won't keep blacks until I've got my groups separated, so I know they're homozygous and not splits. I was thinking about playing with the colors after the last mixed batch, but I decided I really don't want to. There's some interesting colors in the first group, and it'll be fun to see what comes of this one, but I don't think I want to join the "Elusive Chocolate Hunt".

Next weekend it'll be more turkeys hatching!
