I've gotten them from Ideal before. This batch came from McMurray. This one has feathered better, been a bit more active, eaten far more, but got bigger at a younger age. Who would volunteer for such a job? Woulda loved the company, but hubby and I have a good pattern on the birds down now. We're not pluckers; we just skin 'em.

Makes things go much quicker.

I have a couple of black copper marans roosters; one has beautiful feathering on his feet, and both have copper coloring. Very pretty birds. They've been raised on Countryside Organic starter and grower. They are about 13 weeks old. Free to good home.

I don't remember him having more than a hint of red when I bought him for you
but in that pic you can see a hint of gold on the end of the hackles.
He is unique!!!!

I just wanted to say hello to everyone that I met at Chicken stock today!! I was wearing a Pawley's Island hat and a Gap sweatshirt and I had 3 kids with me! *waves*

We ended up buying 5 BLRW, 3weeks old. We actually wanted to find a laying hen , but didnt have any luck for the type of breed we wanted

Too funny.....we skin too. It's better for you and I'm just not into hand cramps.....not for chicken processing.
