WOW ChickenStock Was AWESOME :bow :bow

I sold everything I wanted to sell. And came home with a standard pair of blue orps, 4 ee pullets, 3 BLRW, 1 americuana chick, 2 wire breeder pens, and a 3x3 bantam coop. And still have enough money to buy my incubator!

A HUGE THANK YOU to Henthymes and her husband! :clap

OK guys, I'm planning on teaching a Jam Class at my house 1 Sunday next month. I have a few people interested, but I need at least 5 people so I can afford to cover everything to do it.

It has to be a Sunday for sure, its my only day off.

Anyone interested give me the days that would work for you and what times you would prefer. I know people have their family and church functions to put first, so I don't want to get in the way of those important things. I'll take everyone's information who's interested and try to schedule around everyone so it works.

The class will include a booklet that includes everything we cover, it will include several of my recipes and everyone gets to take home a jar of fresh jam. It's really quite fun and simple and I hope everyone learns a lot from it and has a blast. Snacks and drinks always included! Its quite a relaxing time. Its about 2-3 hours... depends on how much fun we have. Strawberries are in season so we'll do a lot with those. I may even cover pickles and other waterbath options... plus go over a few things with pressure canning in case you're interested.

Just PM or post here so I can make sure I count you. PM is best so I can make sure to respond to everyone interested quickly when its all set up with the details. Definitely bring a friend or family member. This may be an awesome Mother's day gift! We could all bring our mom's or our friend' who are mom's as a gift!

But, is has been a great 11 days! Our babies ( 10 buffs, and 10 EE and 1 Jersey Giant black roo ) are growing soooo fast! They are in the grow out coop and will soon be ready for a bigger space. We also adopted 8 assorted hens 2 weeks ago. Those girls are something else!! They had a rough life in their previous home and are enjoying having freedom and frequent food!!

One of them developed an impacted crop the first few days she was here. I think she was so hungry that she gorged herself! Wound up getting help from bird rescue person to incise and clean out her crop! Now she is healthy and happy girl!

Welcome to all the newbies, you will enjoy your time here, and all the folks are very helpful and full of great informatin. Beware of the very serious side effect of having as few as 1 or 3 chickens..................chicken addiction..............seen it many times, very difficult to treat..........most of us opt for no treatment attempts, we juffst live with it! Oh yeah, and the smiling, it's another side effect as well!!
