My laptop lives!

We did run out into the storm to move cars into shelter and move one cage of chicks that was apt to get blown into. Other than that, all seems well.

Hubby's friend came and got five cockerels this morning for soup birds. Five less to worry about. And all the eggs from Beth went to lockdown this afternoon. I had one clear BLRW, and maybe most of the pheasants, and I couldn't see in the olive eggs, but every single English Orp egg looked good! I will cross fingers and see how it goes!

There is distant thunder heralding the next wave of storms, so I'm shutting this thing down!

Stay safe everyone!

I literally just about finished a hatch with all of Beth's eggs. I had 4 OE also and they were very hard to candle. Three of the four OE hatched. Out of 30 eggs I had a total of 25 hatch. I cant keep them all but some will be having homes here, especially those FNNEE.

Oh this was my first hatch ever

. SHE REALLY HELPED THIS NEWBIE OUT TREMEDOUSLY. AND OF COURSE ALL THE CUTE CHICKS I GOT NOW!!!!!

We just got the storms rolling in. I had to have my 6yr old run out and help me get the food in the coops, electric fans inside, 3 partridges in the house (where they have been staying at night with the heat). Poor trio does not have a coop.

WOW just had massive pop up thunderstorm! I was outside with free ranging chickens when I noticed a massive wall of rain coming! A huge gust hit and blew three of my girl a good 10ft  so I chased them all into the coop, moved the terrified goat into the barn, and brought the rabbits in. I'll have to get a picture of the hail, it was huge maybe alil smaller than baseballs! Unfortunatly when the storm hit my jersey giant roo ran for the field and was hit by hail, not sure if he survived, gonna go look for him later. I'm covered in sores from getting hit by the hail, but that's what ya gotta deal with when ya have scared chickens running everywhere but to the coop. But everyone is happy and cool now atleast.

Wow... storms totally missed here. Got dark, and heard rumbling but not a drop! Ended up spending the day in the house until about 4. Then we finally broke, dragged some lawn chairs out by the garden and sat out under the sprinkler. Not only did we cool off, but drenched my poor garden to give it some relief. I need me some juicy tomatoes soon...!

Passed thru another day with no losses thankfully..... did bring in one silkie hen for a couple of hours she was very distressed..... a visit to our nice cool bathroom and she was fine....

Ok... here are the promised pics of my new kitchen floor.
