So I just walked outside to put the chickens up for the night and found ANOTHER EGG!

What a nice surprise. I took their picture next to a store bought egg...the weird thing was this one was laid in the same spot as the other one. I guess monkey-see monkey do!

Good Morning, Everyone!

Off to State today for an orthopedics appointment with Reilly, the puppy. I'm thinking he's in for another surgery, but I'm hoping I'm wrong. Cross your crossables, please.

My sympathies for sick kids, too many roosters, and misplaced younguns.

Beth, I'm going to come steal that puppy. She's gorgeous!

Aww, poor kid! My son is one that we have to kind of watch on that one - which is why he rides the EC bus. He's in high school, but he's on the autism spectrum and the cattle call environment where the rest of the kids get on the buses leads to a lot of confusion...and not just for him!

I did get a call last year from the school secretary that cracked me up:
Secretary: "Michael got busleft."
Me: "Huh?" (please note witty repartee...it takes me a while to switch gears)
Secretary: "Well, he got busleft."
Me: (still not getting it) "I'm sorry, Michael is what?"
Secretary: "Busleft."
Me: (sighing and still with no idea because in my world "busleft" is not a word) "Where is Michael now?"
Secretary: "He's right here with me."
Me: "Can I speak with him a moment, please?" (This is particularly ironic, since Michael has speech issues that make him very hard to understand)
Michael: "Hi Mom."
Me: "What's going on Michael?"
Michael: "I missed my bus."
Me: (slapping forehead) "Honey, please put the secretary back on."
Secretary: "Hi!"
Me: "Michael missed the bus?"
Secretary: "Yeah. He got busleft"
Me: (finally getting that she's saying BUS-LEFT...as in LEFT by the BUS) "I'll be there in twenty minutes to pick him up. Thank you for letting me know."

You're not alone! Chris thought he was supposed to ride with me late last year, and I was not at his school on that day. He had only been at that school for about 6 years!!!! He just forgot which day I was doing Practicums on that campus....

He can be a little blond on occasion, and his dad blames the blond streak on me... I blame his big boa feet on him (I can't keep him in shoes)!

Have a great day everyone!
