Roger, you did that just to make me drool more!

Shame on you! That's okay. I'll be picking up eggs from those beauties soon. And I want some from HenThymes, too. Two lines will be good for me for now, I think.

Hey BHep!!! I trust your incubating skills more than mine. Wanna help me out when I get my eggs?

Or have you shut down incubating? (Yeah. Figure the odds!)

You KNOW that bator is still running !!!

My girls have come down with avian pox... from what i read I just need to let it run its course. I did give them some electrolytes and vitiams added to there water. Anything else i need to look or worry about?

Electrolytes are good and give them probiotics. Such as eggs, yogurt, buttermilk also oatmeal is good too.
Just watch that they don't start getting lesion in their mouths, if they do I would recommend starting Tylan or some type of antibiotic. Also pick the lesion off, they will have a hard time eating otherwise.
Nothing else you can do...let it runs it course. It will take a few weeks. After this they will have some sort immunity to it and should not get it again or only get a mild case if they get infected again.

One more reason to hate misquotes.

Quote: I do want the English this time around. I had one young man from HenThymes breeding before this MG disaster, and he was something special. I'll be getting eggs soon from Rebel Yell, and hope to hear back from HenThymes. She doesn' t come around so often, so I don't know how long it'll be before she gets my pm. I'll be happy, happy, happy, then!
You can Henthymes on facebook as Bout thyme Farms. She is on there a good bit.

Good Morning, Everyone!

Seems most of my things with clocks on them already reset themselves to the time change. I had to change my pillbox, and will need to change my car. I think that's about it!

I am considering going to the show on the 24th. I've got a couple extra seats, if anyone from the Fayetteville area...or the path in between...wants to go, too. I'm also going to the one in Smithfield on the 8th. If I'm buying show potential birds, I need to see what I've gotten myself into!

I was never tempted into showing dogs, or showing sheep, but the chickens are dragging me that way. I'm finding it very interesting.

Got the Juvenile Detention Center cleaned out yesterday, and bleached down again. Today I set it up for the hatchery birds. We also got those kennels moved to where I want them for breeding pens. We'll have months before I need them, so hubby gets to take his time building houses to go in them, and us getting them roofed. Gotta figure out a way to protect them from foxes, too. They're under trees, so the roots won't let us do the fox deterrent we put on the chicken house. We'll think of something.

Oh, we were putzing around in the overgrown garden yesterday and realized that we had a few volunteer potato plants. We gathered enough new potatoes for supper last night and breakfast this morning. Yum.

Have a great day, Everyone!
